Top 10 Safest Airlines in the World

Finnair, Finland’s national carrier has been revealed as the world’s safest airline by Europe’s Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre (JACDEC).

The highest ranked British airline is British Airways which is ranked 10th in the safety index. Virgin Atlantic came 15th, easyjet 17th and Ryanair 32nd.

  • 8. Hainan Airlines
  • 9. Virgin Australia

JACDEC, which is based in Hamburg, monitors airline crashes all around the world, collecting information on more than 800 airlines in 178 countries and regions.

Their safety index ratings are calculated by comparing serious incidents over the past 30 years to the revenue passenger kilometres they have flown over the same period.
