Budget airline Ryanair has teamed up with Golf Away International to offer cheap golf holidays abroad. The new golf holidays brand is called Ryanair Golf Direct, and when golf enthusiasts become a member, they can enjoy 50% off green fees at certain golf courses in Europe.

Members of Ryanair Golf Direct currently get discounts on golf holidays in Spain, and over the next few months, they can take advantage of cheap golf holidays in Portugal, the Canary Islands and Ireland.

In addition to reduced prices on green fees, members of Ryanair Golf Direct can also benefit from exclusive courses, quick and convenient online booking, unlimited play on participating courses and no booking fees. Ryanair Golf Direct is designed to make golf holidays in Europe more affordable.

A spokesman for Ryanair Golf Direct said: "Ryanair Golf Direct was established to get people playing lower priced golf on their holidays. We achieve this by offering a discount at many of the leading courses in and around the locations that Ryanair is currently flying to. All you have to do to enjoy our many discounted green fees and keep up to date on the other ways to save money is to become a member."

Golf holidays with Ryanair Golf Direct are particularly affordable between now and December 2010 as they are offering 40% off their membership fees. Membership currently costs 60 euros including the discount, which is valid for 12 months, and a spouse and a child can be added to the membership for just 30 euros.

Ryanair does not offer complete golf holiday packages that include transport and accommodation. They are purely focussed on enabling people to book discounted rates on golf courses in Europe.
