Travel insurance protects you against unexpected costs such as medical emergencies, cancellation, lost luggage and travel disruption. Without it you would have to pay these costs yourself.
Benefits such as luggage, cancellation and liability will apply within the UK. Medical is capped at £1000 as you would be covered by the NHS if you do require any medical treatment.

Policies are only available to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and BFPO. Non-residents cannot purchase cover, but you can visit Voyager or Battleface who provide cover to non-UK residents.

No, driving a car abroad is not covered. You will need separate motor insurance. Travel insurance may cover related medical expenses if you are injured in a car accident.

Trip Duration
The maximum duration varies by policy type: 31 days per trip on annual multi-trip, and up to 94 days for single trip policies. 185 days cruise specific (standard and premium only).
