Travel insurance for pre-existing medical conditions
Our disabled travel insurance policies can cover most types of pre-existing medical conditions, simply declare your medical conditions when you get a quote, then answer some simple multiple choice questions and we can provide instant travel insurance with cover for your disability online or by phone. There's no need for a doctor's certificate.
Travel insurance cover for loss of medication
Our travel insurance policies for disabled travellers include cover for loss of medication whilst you are away, something that most standard travel insurance policies do not include. Our disabled travel insurance will provide cover, up to the amount specified in the Schedule of Benefits, for the necessary and reasonable cost of replacing essential medication lost or stolen during your trip.
Disability travel insurance: Cover for mobility aids included
We realise that mobility aids can be essential when you have a disability; they are not cheap and are also not something that you could easily manage without, that's why we've included cover for wheelchairs, walking sticks and mobility aids as standard on our disabled travel insurance policies, no matter whether you choose Silver, Gold or Platinum cover.
Our disabled travel insurance policies provide cover, up to the amount specified in the Schedule of Benefits, for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement if your wheelchair or other mobility aid is lost, stolen or damaged during your trip. We will also pay the cost of temporary hire during your trip.
Disabled travel insurance: Cover for replacement carer included
If you are disabled and rely on the help of a carer it is reassuring to know that you have travel insurance cover in place to help you in the event that your original carer has to cancel or curtail (cut short) their trip due to illness or redundancy.
Provided your carer is insured on the same disabled travel insurance policy as you, we will pay up to £1000 in total, for the cost of extra accommodation and travel for a replacement carer to accompany you or travel out and join you on holiday, enabling you to continue your trip.
Cover for a replacement carer is included as standard on our Gold and Platinum disabled travel insurance policies.
