National Insurance Awards: We Won!

We are proud to announce that has won the travel insurance category at the National Insurance Awards 2021.

Celebrating excellence in the sector, the National Insurance Awards highlight the very best in general insurance provision and management.

The award recognises how we adapted in a difficult year and have responded to the needs of our clients during the coronavirus pandemic.

Here's why we won:

  • Emergency medical expenses & repatriation 
    To give our clients the confidence to travel our policies have always included cover for emergency medical expenses if you contract Covid-19 abroad. 
  • Cancellation cover
    In summer 2020 we introduced our Covid+ cover which includes cancellation if you contract covid-19 within 14 days of the start of your trip (including testing positive on a pre-travel test).  
  • Overseas return quarantine (denied boarding)
    We created a new optional extension to provide cover if you are denied boarding on your return journey due to having, or being suspected of having Covid-19.  Overseas return quarantine is designed to help with the cost of additional accommodation and return transport.
  • Flexible promise
    Last but not least, our flexible promise means that if your trip dates or destination change, we can move your single trip policy to match with no admin charge*.

In addition to adapting our own products, at times when our polices could not provide the cover needed, due to FCO travel advice and lockdown laws, we partnered with another insurer who could, so we were able to help our clients get the cover they required.

Our team has been ready and able to help with customer policies, amendments and queries by phone and email throughout the pandemic and we are really pleased that this has been recognised in our National Insurance Award.

We can cover all types of medical conditions, up to a high severity and have no upper age limit on our policies.

* The new dates must be within 20 months of the original issue date. If the new trip is for a longer period, to a different destination or more than 12 months from the original issue date, there may be an additional premium due to increased risk.
