Australia holidays: Time to head back down under

Added 26/09/2022

Australia is well and truly open for tourists again this winter after lifting all covid-19 travel restrictions in July.  This is the first winter since 2019 that visitors will be able to visit and enjoy the sights of this amazing country during the peak (Australian summer) season.

Visit Australia has this message on its UK website and we can’t wait to go!

Welcome back United Kingdom! You're invited to explore Australia's spacious landscapes, endless natural beauty, and laid-back culture. It's time to think big for your next adventure Down Under.

UK travellers to Australia no longer have to provide proof of covid-19 vaccination status, proof of a negative test or complete a digital passenger declaration when they arrive. (Although individual states can still set their own covid-19 restrictions which you should check before travelling).

With the freedom to travel returned, a trip to Australia is a great opportunity to escape the UK winter of cold weather and rising energy bills.

Discover fantastic beaches, island hopping, buzzing cities (Sydney, Melbourne and Perth), aboriginal culture (Uluru-kata Tjuta national park in the red centre), the great barrier reef, rainforests and of course amazing wildlife such as kangaroos and koalas that you just can’t see anywhere else.
