If a volcanic ash incident or other natural disaster causes you to be unable to depart for your holiday, reach your destination, or return home as planned our Natural Catastrophe cover provides the following cover:

Cover for cancellation up to £1,500 per person

• Provides cover for non-refundable, unused travel, accommodation and holiday services, if the transport that you are booked on e.g. flight is cancelled due to a natural catastrophe, preventing you from using those holiday services.

Additional expenses up to £150 per day (£1,500 in total) per person

• Cover for additional accommodation costs (room only) and transport expenses incurred in reaching your holiday destination or reaching home, if the public transport you are booked on is cancelled or delayed by more than 24 hours and no reasonable alternative is offered to you.

Replacement accommodation up to £150 per day (£1,500 in total) per person

• Reimbursement for extra accommodation costs (room only) incurred during your holiday due to circumstances beyond your control.

Travel delay £25 per 12 hours (maximum £250) per person

• Travel delay is a benefit designed to help with additional expenses incurred at the airport if your flight is delayed, such as additional food and drink. It is payable if your transport is delayed or cancelled at any international point from or to the UK.
